Through Eden - Finding Paths, tells the story of a young man’s discovery of love.
Like many boys moving toward manhood, Evan is more interested in sex than love. Almost entirely ignorant of both, he is unaware of the mysterious connections between them. But he is aware that his growing attraction to other boys exposes him to rejection and danger. He knows that because of this, he will live a life very different from other boys. But what kind of life would that be?
When he is forced to attend Saint Mark Academy, a high school for boys, he is terrified that his sexual difference will be discovered, and he does everything he can to avoid attracting attention. He almost succeeds, but at the cost of barely living life at all.
Then, at the end of his sophomore year, Evan reluctantly follows his parents’ plan for him to spend the summer working on an uncle’s distant farm. Far from home, in a strange but welcoming environment, he meets people and accepts challenges that lead to a transformative awakening to the possibilities of his life.
He returns to Saint Mark with a new feeling of confidence. He begins to find accepting friends and makes the startling discovery that his sexual nature comes with an unforeseen dimension - love - with all of its power and complexities.
Through Eden - Of Good and Evil, coming in 2021, continues Evan’s story.
